10:30PM - The Matchbox
Youthful four piece based in Manchester via Hull – the emergence of The Matchbox is a flag flying high for British indie/rock. The gritty guitars and captivating lyrics has proven worthy of headline shows at Manchester’s Academy 3 and Birmingham’s O2 Institute 3 – in addition to support slots with the likes of ‘The Hara’, ‘The Ks’, ‘Some Sprouts’ and many more!
“a young band that’s starting to make waves in the British rock scene” - Far Out Magazine
9:30PM - The Feens
Dubbed ‘the musical pride of Scarborough’ by Soccer AM’s Fenners, the quartet have firmly established themselves as the guitar music torchbearers for Yorkshire. After garnering support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1 DJ’s, Jericho Keys, Phil Taggart and new music exemplar Huw Stephens, their standout single ‘Sunset’ peaked at No.1 on the iTunes Chart and received plaudits from legendary 6Music presenter; Steve Lamacq.
9:00PM - Moss
moss is a non-binary solo musician, dedicated to capturing life’s pleasures and a toadstool dwelling lifestyle through lyrical lunacy and musical mémoires. Self-dubbing their material “toadstool-core”, they sing with an honest, fun conviction, juxtaposed by jangling guitar melodies and dancing basslines. It’s emotional, it’s fun, and it’s always authentic moss.
8:30PM - Charlie Burke
Growing up in the small town of Hornsea, Charlie Burke began playing piano and writing songs young as an outlet, soon performing these locally and developing her sound. Encased in a theme of darkness, Charlie’s music values the enigmatic, the things left unsaid and often sources stimuli from a multitude of literature and theatrics.
